No Knots!

If any of you have seen Lillie in the past year you have seen her nervous habit of twirling her hair into knots. She mostly does it when she is very tired. We used to cut them out until we got better at untwisting the twirls.

The other morning she woke up with 5 separate knots twirled into her hair.

No this isn't an 80 year old man! This can't be good for her hair.

Pinewood Derby

We had the big pinewood derby race this week. Noah thought for sure he would blow away the competition. We made sure his car would look good (purple flames!) even if it wasn't the fastest.

I think Uncle Jake summed it up best while watching the race, "Brian, you're not a failure as a father."

Milo

I was just looking through pictures and realized that we haven't posted anything recent of Milo. He is such a sweet baby. Our family is enjoying him so much.

April Fools

The morning of April 1st started like any other morning. The kids woke up and headed downstairs for breakfast. They told me their breakfast orders of various cereals and I served them up. But little did they know that Brian and I had pulled the old 'frozen milk' trick. Noah and Lillie thought it was great. Chloe, on the other hand, was totally offended and declared that "we should only do April Fools jokes that don't hurt peoples feelings." Look at that face! Classic Chloe.

What the...

Last week we had a fun surprise. I was running around the house as usual when I stepped into the kids bathroom upstairs and into an inch of water. What the? Water was everywhere. So you know that toilet in your house that is always running and you jiggle the handle to get it to stop? It's really annoying but not annoying enough to get your husband to fix it? Well it turns out that some little person (who will not fess up) plugged the toilet, and then the toilet ran and ran and ran and overflowed all over the place. So hours and dozens of towels later we were getting no where. Brian ended up pulling up the carpet, tearing out the soggy padding and running industrial fans for two days to dry us out. It was lovely. Like being at the beach, all muggy and breezy.
Don't worry we got the carpet cleaned.
